Seriously, why am I doing this to myself? I've decided to pursue certification through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) to become a personal trainer. It seems like the best move right now in my fitness "career" since A just started morning kindergarten, and I have a few extra hours in the morning to study. I will spend the next few months reading and studying and then take the exam. The task of learning all this material about the human body is pretty daunting: the Cardiorespiratory, nervous, skeletal, and muscular systems; biomechanics, phsyiology, kinseology, etc. etc.!!!! Not only do I have to memorize almost every bone, muscle, nerve, and tissue, I have to know how they function and how they all relate to the body's movement. I am seriously braindead when it comes to anything scientific. So this will be a challenge indeed. Case in point: first day of study I read the first paragraph of the first chapter and then promptly feel asleep for two hours! Hah! Back to the good old college days of doing homework on your bed and getting nothing accomplished. However, it was the best nap I've had in a very long time.:) But seriously, I've wanted to do personal training for a while. Unlike group fitness, which I'm currently enjoying, I will be able to work one on one with someone who wants to improve their physical health or level of fitness. I would like to train the general population as well as athletes. What would be awesome is if I could train some of the gymnasts at my daughter's gym. The owner and I have discussed some possibilities, so that's pretty exciting, Anyway, this exam I hear is pretty tough, so hopefully I'll be able to pass it on the first try. Wish me luck!

HA HA! I always fall asleep when I do my reading, it's a bummer to know I'll probably never grow out of it. I'm impressed you are doing this test. You would be a super fun personal trainer, I would hire you.
THank you SOOOOO MUCH, for the baby necessities! I really appreciate it. It makes me really excited and then nervous to look at the baby stuff becuase AHHHHHHH Joe and I are actually going to be parents! My stomach keeps changing shapes throughout the day because the baby moves like crazy.
